Who we are

Our History

Founded in 1873 by Bernhard Halle, the same year Ernst Abbe published his theory of the microscope, our company began as a small optical workshop. Initially, we specialized in crystal optics for polarization microscopes. As our reputation for precision grew, we quickly became a trusted partner to early scientific institutions. Over time, we expanded our product range to include mirrors, prisms, and the design and production of advanced lens systems. Our technologies soon found application in laboratories, observatories, and industrial environments. Our commitment to optical innovation has been the cornerstone of our success for over a century.
